Can you answer it in 30 seconds?

“Owner A shared a record with user B. The owner changes from A to C. What happens to B’s access?”

The answer depends on the sharing type:
🔹 Manual Sharing → Lost
🔹 Sharing Rules (Criteria-based) → B keeps access only if the record still meets the criteria
🔹 Sharing Rules (Owner-based) → B keeps access only if the new owner C is in the rule’s source group/role
🔹 Role Hierarchy → 🔄 Recalculated around C’s position
🔹 Team Sharing → ✅ Teams stay (Account transfer gives a keep/remove option)
🔹 Apex Managed Sharing → Manual row cause: lost
→ Custom Apex reason: ✅ preserved
🔹 Implicit Sharing → 🔄 Recalculated automatically
🔹 Territory Management → ✅ Access remains

Takeaway: Anything tied to the owner gets recalculated.
Anything tied to criteria, teams, territories or custom reasons can survive.
